The Cruising Association hired us to augment their capability for their Drupal website upgrade. We built a new frontend and bespoke functionality with modern best practices, but more importantly, a strong working relationship.

Being a charity they needed a cost-effective plan to upgrade their Drupal 7 site to modern Drupal. A major version upgrade from Drupal 7 meant the opportunity to revisit and redesign some aspects of the website.

Most sites need to talk to at least one other site, domain or service. So when your site is hosted behind tight firewall and network controls, how do you ensure that it can consistently reach out to all the IPs and endpoints it requires?

Moving a multisite to Drupal 10 could have been fraught with pain and danger, but ComputerMinds' expertise and experience brought the new Site online on time and on budget (and we're still friends!)

We have known and worked with Rex London for a long time and have seen them through many projects. They know us, we know them, it works.

For this latest project, Rex London required a website redesign alongside their Drupal 9 upgrade. With this came the perfect opportunity to modernise the front and back end of their website by utilising the latest software, programmes, and Drupal modules available to us at the time.

Drupal 9 presented us with an opportunity to audit our bespoke platform which is shared by 3 brands. The infrastructure and development workflow around it could be improved and modernised. Many years of development had gone into building the site on the Drupal 7 platform, and moving to Drupal 9 would ensure it could continue to live on for many more years to come.

A full upgrade (rebuild) of the Drupal 7 Glen Dimplex platform to Drupal 9 was required due to Drupal 7 getting ever closer to its End Of Life date. The rebuild had to retain all existing multilingual capabilities, eCommerce functionality and SAP integration. By the time the upgrade to Drupal 9 had started, the Drupal 7 Glen Dimplex platform had grown to power 18 different websites with 11 different themes, almost 30 different tile types along with multiple content types and taxonomies!

The scale of the task at hand was apparent, and we knew we needed a sensible approach to configuration management from the get-go to make managing the differing configuration between the various sites as easy as possible.

An upgrade of three websites to a shared Drupal 9 platform with content migration, search improvements, and a modern redesign. We established best practices for the client's own Drupal developer to continue on with. The new websites help customers find exactly what they need from a wide selection of very technical products.
