This policy details the ComputerMinds’ Quality Assurance Policy

Quality Assurance Objectives

ComputerMinds Limited is a supplier of training, consultancy and development services based on the open-source Drupal Content Management System (CMS).

We aim to maintain our position at the forefront of Drupal based services in the United Kingdom.

To achieve this objective, we strive to offer our clients an industry-leading level of service to meet their specific requirements.

Policy

To meet our objectives, ComputerMinds will:

  • Ensure that it meets the needs and requirements of the customers and will seek to continually improve the service by the development of necessary programmes.
  • Strive to improve and enhance its performance by setting objectives and targets, which are continually reviewed to ensure they are understood, acted upon and met by all staff.
  • Provide training, support, resources and encouragement to all of its employees to ensure they realise their full potential in meeting the Quality Assurance Policy and its objectives. • Meet any statutory and regulatory requirements that apply to its processes and activities.
  • Establish partnerships with complimentary service providers to meet the full requirements of its clients where the required skills are not available in-house and to continuously work to improve any such relationships with third parties.
  • Identify the key operational processes and the links between these processes to function effectively.

Web Compliance

When Drupal development services are provided, ComputerMinds will:

  • Ensure all (X)HTML and CSS is compliant with W3C defined standards.
  • Ensure all (X)HTML and CSS is cross-browser compatible, our default suite of supported browsers is:
    • Google Chrome (Latest version. N.B. Chrome automatically updates)
    • Internet Explorer (Current and previous major release)
    • Firefox (Current and previous major release)
    • Safari (Current and previous major release)
  • Ensure all W3C defined accessibility standards are passed to either the AAA or AA standard depending on project requirements.
  • Benchmark page load times to ensure these are with in industry standard targets.

Drupal Coding Standards

  • Use the latest stable core releases of Drupal and any contributed modules
  • Not make any changes to a contributed codebase – additional functionality will only be added in a modular fashion to ensure no code overwriting during updates.
  • Drupal Coding Standards will be followed at all times (https://www.drupal.org/coding-standards)

Policy Endorsement

This Policy was endorsed by the Managing Director of ComputerMinds Limited on the 1st of January 2011 and has been communicated throughout the organisation and to all interested parties.

It was subsequently updated in May 2012, May 2014 and December 2014.

It will be reviewed periodically to ensure the future success of ComputerMinds.
