ComputerMinds are partnering with Bristol based EPOS supplier Bristec in the development of an ecommerce plug-in for their popular BOSS system.

The system will allow retailers to quickly and easily create a web presence using their existing database of products. The new eCommerce system (codename Nebraska) links into the on-site BOSS EPOS database, synchronizing product data, stock levels and order details between the local shop and the remote website.

ComputerMinds MD, Mike Dixon, was quoted as saying "Small retailers are keen to establish a web presence, but do not have the time to maintain two separate stock control systems. With this new product ComputerMinds and Bristec make things easy for the busy retailer to start generating revenue from the web."

The first site using the new technology is due to go live in the Autumn -- watch this space
