Adam Ferris

After looking for a change of career and to pursue his passion for the web, Adam went to study part time at the University of Bath and graduated in 2011 with a BSc in Computing.

Adam worked freelance for a year before joining ComputerMinds as a developer in 2012. Here he quickly got to work with Drupal and also looked to use his interest in design professionally carrying out small design tasks. As the years went by Adam found himself taking on more design work and now enjoys splitting his time between this and development.

The father of two boys, Adam finds he has a decreasing amount of free time! But in between family life, he enjoys keeping fit through running and cycling but as Adam’s available training time changed so did his type of riding. Before, it was about riding hard on fast bikes with skinny tyres, now it’s more about fat tyres for mud and adventure. He can often be found on the local mountain bike trails or off on adventures carrying everything he needs on his bike and sleeping in a bivvy bag. He also enjoys watching and playing basketball.

A keen traveller, Adam is often exploring the world, with the diversity of the USA being the frequent destination. For his other passion, photography, Adam found this was also affected by the arrival of his son and the perfect new subject. Adam’s website he built to keep family and friends in the loop is now updated more frequently than his photography website.

Torino-Nice Rally

Last year I rode the Torino-Nice Rally with 5 friends. An unsupported 450 mile multi-day gravel ride snaking through the alps from Turin to Nice. I wrote an article about my experiences.
